How I work
The offshore-advice world has a trust problem — and it’s earned. So here, in plain English, is exactly how I work and what you can expect. If any adviser can’t tell you the same, that tells you something.
The honest starting point
I’m building toward FSCA authorisation in South Africa (expected early 2027). Until that’s in place, everything here is educational only — general information to help you think clearly, never personal advice or a product recommendation. I’d rather say that plainly than blur it. When someone in this industry is vague about their status, that’s usually the first red flag; being clear about mine is the opposite.
What it means for you right now: you get straight answers, useful guides, and a genuine second opinion — with nothing being sold to you.
Independent & on your side
I’m independent. I’m not tied to any platform, fund house or insurer, and I don’t earn commission for steering you toward one product over another.
That independence changes the whole conversation. It means we start by understanding your situation, not by finding a product to fit you into. For cross-border families, that starts with a Cross-Border Money Map — laying out where your money sits, in which currency, under which tax system, and what it’s actually for — before anyone talks about investing a cent.
Transparent by default
The single most common way people get quietly hurt in offshore investing is cost they never saw — layered platform, fund and adviser charges, or ongoing commissions buried in the small print. So my rule is simple: you see every cost, across every layer, in one place, in writing, before you decide anything. No hidden fees, no surprises, no “free” advice that’s quietly paid for by a product. If a cost is ever harder to understand than the thing it’s paying for, that’s deliberate — and it’s a reason to slow down, not speed up.
How it works
No pressure and no products at the first meeting — just a proper look at where you stand.
A 30-minute introductory call
We talk through your situation — where your money is, where your life is going — and whether I’m the right fit. No obligation, and you leave with something useful either way.
A clear picture, then a plan
We map your money across borders, and — when it makes sense — I set out a plan built around your goals, currencies and timeline, with every cost shown up front.
Implementation and review
We put it in place and keep it under review as your life and the rules change — independent of any single provider.
Hold me to it
Good advice welcomes scrutiny. Before you trust anyone — me included — with money that lives across borders, these are fair questions to ask, and you should expect a clear answer to every one:
If that’s the kind of relationship you’re looking for, that’s exactly how I work.
